Courtesan Kisaragi, actually Princess Takiyasha
The daughter of Taira Masakado, a warrior who was killed in an attempted rebellion. She has magic powers giving her control of giant gama frogs. She is hiding in Masakado’s old palace at Soma, waiting for the opportunity to strike back at the imperial household.
Oya Taro Mitsukuni
A retainer of Minamoto Yorinobu, who in the show has conquered Masakado (historically untrue). He has been ordered to locate and terminate the remainder of Masakado’s forces. He sneaks into the former palace, which is rumored to be haunted by monsters.
